Hey Boston! I will be a vendor at the SOWA Open Market on Harrison Avenue on Sunday, June 22nd. Come on by and say hi!
I’m currently working on several new pieces. I post work-in-progress pics (plus other randomness) regularly on my instagram account if anyone is interested in seeing what I’m working on.
“I Bring the Fun In” and “I’m Here for the Party” are new prints available in my shop! The original paintings were part of “Cat Art Show LA” – a successful exhibit completely cat themed. For more info on the exhibit, click here.
Hope everyone had a happy holiday!
Just wanted to post a little update as I get back in the swing of things after taking some time off for the holidays. “The Return” was featured in my 2014 narwhal calendar. I have a few left in my shop. Prints are also available.
We are expecting a snow storm here in New York tonight into tomorrow. I’m looking forward to being snowed in with hot cocoa and new ideas for artwork. If anyone is on instagram and wants to see work in progress pics and randomness, i’m @noosedkitty on there.
I will be part of a group exhibit on Cats in Hollywood, CA at the end of January. More on that as it gets closer!
A very special thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth at the Hudson Craftacular last weekend. It was so nice to put faces to names I’d only previously know via web. I feel very lucky to be able to do what I love to do with such support!
We had our first snowfall of the season today. As the end of the year approaches I find myself reflecting on all of the changes I’ve made in my life throughout this past year. I left my job last spring to pursue my art business full time. I can’t say it hasn’t been a struggle financially, but I’m truly happy with the place that I’m in. I am fortunate to have an amazing support system of people who all seem to agree that if you’re not going to throw yourself into your passion completely, if even for a little while, then what’s the point in having one at all.
I’m grateful to everyone who has ever visited by my website, sent an email, purchased a print, or said hi at a fair. Even the baby who was shown print after print of my work being asked “ooooh, how about this one? Do you like this?” whose response was to simply to shake his head “no” making a very disgusted face. I laughed for hours! You’re awesome, little kid! And so are the rest of you guys who are in my corner. I thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
In case this is my last post of the year (who knows what’s gonna happen, I’ve got baking to do!) have a very, very happy holiday!
Best,
Jamie
